About this website

This website introduces Hair by Lois and links to its booking and social pages. It has no public enquiry form or advertising trackers. Optional Google Analytics can be enabled to help us understand visits to the public website; it loads only after you choose to allow analytics and only when it has been connected.

Optional analytics and your choice

If connected and you choose to allow analytics, Google Analytics processes basic usage information such as public pages viewed, device information and visits. We do not send client names, email addresses, appointment details, invoices or staff pages to Google Analytics. Website addresses sent to analytics exclude query strings and fragments. Advertising signals and ad personalisation are disabled.

You can decline analytics and still use the website. Your choice is remembered on this device for up to six months. Use to change your choice. Declining stops future analytics collection; it does not remove data already sent. Google processes information under its own privacy practices.

Contacting Lois

Call or email Lois using the details on this website. Information you choose to send is used to respond to your enquiry and discuss your appointment. For questions about information you have shared, email hello@hairbylois.co.uk.

Booking and external websites

Online client access is currently under development and shows a coming-soon page. Salon records are stored by this website. Signed-in clients can access their own appointments and invoices. Salon staff can manage client records, appointments and invoices. If you opt in to appointment texts, your mobile number and reminder text will be shared with the connected SMS provider to deliver appointment reminders. Sign-in is provided through ChatGPT. Contact Lois to request access to, correction or deletion of your salon information. Facebook and Google Maps links also open external services with their own privacy practices.

Booking acknowledgements

We retain the version of the booking terms you acknowledged, the date and time of acknowledgement, the service details and any express request for a service within a statutory cancellation period. These records help us administer bookings and resolve questions about the terms agreed. Your saved booking terms can be viewed and downloaded from your appointment.

Business receipts and accounts

Authorised salon staff can store receipt photos, PDFs and financial records for the business. Clients cannot access these records. Changes retain a history, and digital exports are recorded. Receipts and financial records may need to be retained for tax and accounting obligations even when other information is deleted. HMRC submissions are not currently connected.

Hosting

The hosting service may process technical connection information needed to deliver and protect the website. The website stores the appointment and contact details needed to run the salon. Staff-only notes are not exposed to other clients.
